Description: Original oil painting (frame not included).

I wanted to capture the rigidity in the shapes of these flowers, which I did by accentuating the sharp angles and deepening the shadows. I used mainly flat brushes of varying sizes. It actually hurt my brain a little bit trying to work out the structure of these incredible flowers! I love the way the glass distorts the horizon of the background of this one, and the diagonal angle gives movement.
